Philadelphia 76ers

Sending out: Mike Scott (BRK), Jonah Bolden (POR), New York’s 2020 second-round pick (PHX)

Bringing in: Ersan Ilyasova (MIL)

The Philadelphia 76ers need outside shooting in the worst way, particularly from the frontcourt where Mike Scott, Tobias Harris and Al Horford have all seen their 3-point percentages drop. The degree to which Ben Simmons’ penetration ability and Joel Embiid’s post game have still been effective is a testament to just how talented that pair is but a little more room to work inside the arc would just make everything else so much easier.

Here the 76ers are moving a second-round, the as-yet-unrealized potential of Jonah Bolden and Scott for a much, much better version of Scott. Ilyasova is a very reliable frontcourt shooter who can also hold his own on the glass and provide some defensive value with his absurdly unique ability to draw charges. The 76ers will still have lots of other issues to address if they’re going to leap to the top of the Eastern Conference but short of moving Al Horford there aren’t a lot of big swings for them to take.
