DraftKings NBA picks January 30: Big night for Beal

We have another solid six game slate for our DraftKings NBA tournaments on Thursday. Charlotte gets the Washington boost tonight. Four games have severe blowout potential and the other two could be as well. The closest game of the night could be Charlotte-Washington, if you can believe that.

First, we have to see who is not participating. The players are slowly coming to grips with losing an idol/friend/mentor, so less and less of them are taking personal days. This report should stay pretty accurate leading up to tip.

Out: Steph Curry (hand), Klay Thompson (knee), Kevon Looney (abdomen), Marvin Bagley (foot), Jamal Murray (ankle), Richaun Holmes (shoulder), Josh Richardson (hamstring), Rui Hachimura (groin), Mo Wagner (ankle), Marc Gasol (hamstring), Jordan McRae (ankle), Enes Kanter (hip), Paul Millsap (knee), Mason Plumlee (foot), Bruno Fernando (calf), Alex Len (hip), Jabari Parker (shoulder), Garrison Mathews (ankle), Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (ankle), John Wall (Achilles), C.J. Miles (wrist), Robert Williams (hip), Bol Bol (foot), Brandon Knight (knee), Dylan Windler (leg), Ante Zizic (illness), Dewan Hernandez (ankle), Chandler Parsons (shoulder), Deandre Bembry (hand).

Questionable: Paul George (hamstring), Jayson Tatum (groin), Al Horford (knee), Mike Scott (knee), Patrick McCaw (nose).

Little has been said about how George is progressing with the hamstring injury, so we really don’t know how close he is to playing or not. Tatum and Horford are really the only news we’re waiting on aside from George.

I was heaviest on Kyrie and Sabonis, but had one lineup with Russ and Lillard that had a nice enough score to make sure I came out ahead on the night.

DFSplash took it down with a modest 334 DraftKings points, which would have barely cashed on Tuesday. He built with Lillard and Whiteside and got big value out of Mitch Robinson, Bogdan, Taurean Prince, Crowder, SGA, and Dejounte Murray.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
