Eli Manning has retired from the NFL, and his former teammate Rashad Jennings firmly believes the quarterback is bound for Canton.

What’s the greatest measure of success in an NFL career: a Super Bowl or a bust in Canton?

The answer is obvious, but it seems you can’t have one without the other. Eli Manning doesn’t have a bust in the Hall of Fame yet, but he had two Super Bowl rings. This is why even before he retired last week from the NFL, discussions about his Hall of Fame candidacy were already buzzing.

Is Eli Manning a Hall of Famer? Did he do enough in his career or are we puffing up the two Super Bowls he won?

Rashad Jennings played with Manning for three years of his career, which was all he needed to see to make his decision on what Elu’s legacy is and should be.

“No reservation,” Jennings told FanSided’s Mark Carman. “[Eli] will be a Hall of Famer.”

Manning’s retirement signals the beginning of the end for an era of quarterbacks in the NFL. He was drafted in 2004 along with Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers — the previous missed all of last season with an injury and the latter currently doesn’t have a team.

Both are considered sure-fire Hall of Famers but Roethlisberger and Rivers have two Super Bowl rings between them (Rivers, for the record, has none).

Manning’s career may be over but the discussion on what it meant in the grander history of the NFL is only getting started.
