Watch Victor Cruz teach his famous salsa post-touchdown celebration dance ahead of Super Bowl 54.

Former New Your Giants wide receiver, Victor Cruz, is known for more than just his athletic prowess on the gridiron. Cruz boasts a Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots, and made the Pro Bowl, a feat not many can accomplish. But let’s all put that aside for a moment because we all really want to know about his dancing.

Cruz was famous for his post-touchdown celebratory salsa dance which he kindly taught to FanSided’s own, Mark Carman, during Super Bowl 54 week. And please forgive us ahead of time, we didn’t check Carman’s dancing chops prior to hiring him.

“Now, I’m gonna challenge you here,” Carman said to Cruz at the Bacardi both in Miami. “I think I can actually do the salsa dance better than you can do it. Yeah, you want to see what I got?”

Cruz was kind enough to not turn around a walk-off when he saw what can only be described as man-with-ants-in-his-pants-tries-to-dance.

“That’s a different dance,” Cruz said, clearly trying to be kind. “I don’t know if that’s the salsa dance.”

Cruz then proceeded to teach Carman the steps (without spilling his drink we might add).

“You gotta just stay in this little pocket right here,” Cruz said showing Carman how to dance using just his hips. “You’re in a pocket not the same pocket, but a pocket.”

Realizing pretty quickly that he wasn’t going to pick up on the dance moves, Carman moved on to more pressing and NFL-related questions, but let’s be honest, we’re all too busy laughing to hear any of it.
