2. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers came out of nowhere this year and made a run all the way to the number-one seed and the Super Bowl. They made some key moves in the offseason to make it here, including trading for Dee Ford, drafting Nick Bosa, signed Raheem Mostert to a three-year deal and signing Kwon Alexander. They revamped their team from the second-overall pick to a Super Bowl in 365 days worth of transactions.

The 49ers have all of their main pieces signed through next season. They could very easily be the number one team on this list, and it’s likely they would be tied with the number-one team on this list, but there are some concerns.

The number-one concern with the 49ers is with the quarterback. Jimmy Garoppolo isn’t exactly an elite player under center. He’s definitely not bad, but he’s not the kind of player that’s going to win games for a team. When we are looking for a team to be the top team in the league, it’s hard to commit to a team that might not have a top ten quarterback in the league.

Still, the 49ers are going to be right up there in the 5/1 to 8/1 range starting on Monday morning. They could build with a few transactions, but for now they come in at number two.
