Fourth Round

Pick Analysis. Washington Huskies. Trey Adams. player. 818. Scouting Report. OT. 125

In the fourth round, the Bills can afford to take a swing on a potential boom-or-bust prospect. When healthy, Trey Adams was an exceptional tackle for the Pac-12’s Washington Huskies. He made the All-Pac-12 First Team as a freshman in 2016 and again as a senior in 2019. However, injuries were a constant storyline in his college career up in Seattle.

As a sophomore in 2017, fresh off a first-team campaign where the Huskies made the College Football Playoff for the first time in school history, Adams tore his ACL midway through the season, cutting his second year playing for Chris Petersen to only seven games. Again, the injury bug would pop up in 2018, as back injury knocked him out of the first 10 games of his junior year.

Though the Huskies weren’t serious contenders in the Pac-12 last year, Adams responded triumphantly by making it back on the all-conference first team. He started in all the Huskies’ games outside of their bowl game. Adams was also named the recipient of the Don James Perseverance Award during his final college season. Determination is what this guy is about.

At 6-foot-8 and 314 pounds, Adams has a massive frame that you just can’t coach. He might end up being a swing tackle who could make his NFL career keeping Josh Allen upright. The injury concerns will always be there, but the Bills can get tremendous value with this early day-three draft selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.
