NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds on DraftKings and FanDuel Feb. 5
Duds
Nikola Vucevic (at BOS – $8,400 on DK; $8,400 on FD): Vucevic has dropped a bit in recent games and Boston is a tough matchup. There’s a lot of great matchups on Wednesday and I’m struggling to find a potential dud even though obviously everyone can’t hit. Vucevic’s ceiling is what I’m concerned about compared to the rest of the field.
Kevin Love (at OKC – $8,000 on DK; $7,500 on FD): It’s a tough matchup for Love and while I don’t see him getting traded, he does seem a little dejected with how things are going. The Thunder is great against the position and they are rested. Or rusted depending on your perspective. There’s better and more guaranteed value below Love.
Pascal Siakam (vs IND – $7,800 on DK; $8,400 on FD): With the Raptors getting healthy, Siakam doesn’t have to dominate too much. And it’s a tough matchup as the Pacers are good against the position. Someone on the Raptors will have to take a step back and Siakam seems like the most likely choice right now.
Chris Paul (vs CLE – $7,500 on DK; $7,400 on FD): Paul probably won’t hurt you given the matchup. But unless the team is lacking energy and he needs to pick up the aggression, he probably won’t need to do as much of the heavy lifting with SGA and Schroder doing much of that. A rested Adams should limit Paul’s load as well.
Donovan Mitchell (vs DEN – $7,100 on DK; $7,600 on FD): Mitchell has been inconsistent in recent games and the Nuggets are a tough matchup. Though if they have no forwards, that will limit their paint protection. I just don’t trust Mitchell is his current form though his ceiling is obviously high with his overall scoring.
