Fourth Round

Georgia Bulldogs. Solomon Kindley. player. G. 122. 814. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

It will be interesting to see how the Patriots address the offensive line in the coming years. Long-time offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia retired for the second time after previously stepped aside in his late 60s. This time, it feels like it’s for real. Scarnecchia could move mountains with his offensive line. How New England goes about building its front-five without him will be intriguing.

One player who could be available for the Patriots picking at No. 122 in the fourth round would be Georgia Bulldogs offensive guard Solomon Kindley. While he battled through injuries during his junior year at Georgia, Kindley was one of the reasons Georgia’s front-five was so menacing entering 2019. He is an absolute road-grader and will dominate in run blocking.

Kindley has plenty of starting experience and is a better NFL Draft prospect when compared to fellow Dawg David Andrews, who somehow went undrafted out of Georgia. It would be very on-brand for the Patriots to have three Georgia players starring on their offensive line. You have Andrews at center and former first-round pick Isaiah Wynn over at tackle.

It’s strange how Kindley has trended down in recent NFL mock drafts. At various points during last season, he had as high as a late first-round grade. Should Kindley still be on the board late in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, New England will know what to do and draft this Dawg to help bolster their offensive line.
