DraftKings NBA picks February 9: Blazing that trail

It’s a solid seven game Sunday in the Association, but the Celtics and Thunder tip early, so they are only available in DraftKings NBA showdown mode. This one is pretty simple. Run Kanter at captain against his former team and load up on guards from both teams.

There are six games for the DraftKings NBA main slate. It starts a bit earlier at 6pm eastern tonight, so make sure you have your lineups ready! First, let’s see who wont be in any of those.

Out: Kawhi Leonard (rest), Jimmy Butler (shoulder), Clint Capela (heel), Thomas Bryant (foot), Lauri Markkanen (pelvis), Wendell Carter (ankle), Eric Gordon (leg), Patrick Beverley (groin), Tyler Herro (foot), Otto Porter (foot), Justise Winslow (back), Kris Dunn (knee), Meyers Leonard (ankle), Mo Harkless (illness), Cam Reddish (concussion), Jusuf Nurkic (leg), Zach Collins (shoulder), Denzel Valentine (hamstring), Rodney Hood (Achilles), Anfernee Simons (concussion), Nassir Little (ankle), Ed Davis (back), Bruno Caboclo (knee), John Wall (Achilles), Grayson Allen (hip), Dylan Windler (leg), Ante Zizic (illness), Skal Labissiere (ankle), Allonzo Trier (illness).

Questionable: De’Andre Hunter (ankle), Deandre Bembry (hand).

The general feeling is that Morris will be available tonight, but the Hawks still have to wait on Capela and his bum heel. Both Burks and Robinson need to get their physical before playing, but that could be done today. Iggy is active, but the Heat were non-committal as to whether he would actually play or not. The same is true for Crowder.

Last night was disappointing. All three lineups had 6x value or better, but none cashed. I was happy with my picks. Thon was a touch disappointing, but that shouldn’t have been enough to ruin the lineups. He was still over 5x value.

billsfan777 made five of the same lineup and took all five top slots with 388.25 DraftKings points. He built with Jrue, KAT, Wood, Hield and LeVert and nailed the value plays of Davis, VanVleet, Hield, and Malik Beasley.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
