2. Las Vegas Raiders

Outside of New England, there may not be a team in hotter pursuit of Tom Brady than the Las Vegas Raiders. Head coach Jon Gruden has always admired Brady, and he has never truly committed to the team’s current quarterback, Derek Carr.

While it looked at one point that Carr was the definitive franchise quarterback for the Raiders, he hasn’t been the same since a brutal leg injury ended his 2016 season. There were plenty of rumors last offseason that Gruden was in love with Kyler Murray and would trade Carr to get him, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see Gruden try to upgrade at quarterback again.

The Raiders also offer Brady a much better supporting cast than the one he has in New England. The offensive line is one of the best in football while the Raiders also have a true top-flight running back in Josh Jacobs and a big tight end who can catch passes in Darren Waller, a presence that was never replaced in the New England offense after Rob Gronkowski retired.

Las Vegas will also have a ton of interest in Brady to help generate buzz for their first season in their new home. Like the Chargers before them, the Raiders haven’t yet had a chance to establish roots in their new market, so Brady could certainly help the cause.

The city of Las Vegas loves its stars, and there may not be a better way for the Raiders to integrate into their new home by bringing one of the shiniest objects in football with them. Brady would also give the Raiders a great chance to match up with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, creating some epic AFC West showdowns.
