The Premier League weekend kicks off on Friday when Leicester travel to face off against Wolves. These two sides have had very impressive seasons so far with Wolves once again knocking on the door of a European spot and Leicester challenging Manchester City for second spot.

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester side are impressive on all fronts. They dominate possession, play attractive soccer and have one of the best defensive records in the league. Wolves play a similar game but adopt a more counter-attacking edge when necessary.

The approach that these teams take to soccer makes this a difficult one to call but it should be easy on the eye.

Leicester have an eight point safety net in third position but they will want to extend this lead over 4th place Chelsea in order to secure Champions League soccer next season.

Wolves have managed to maintain a high league position despite playing in the Europa League this season. This often leads to teams struggling domestically but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side haven’t faltered with the limited rest before weekend fixtures.

A win for Nuno’s side could see them jump up to 6th place if results go their way and that would be a brilliant position to be in going into the last 12 league games. Leicester have the opportunity to temporarily leapfrog Manchester City in the league table and put themselves into second place.

The pace of this game will be dictated by the Foxes as they will have the majority of possession and look to breakdown Wolves with relentless pressure.

Nuno will want his side to take the same approach as they did against Manchester City but with a little more defensive stability. In that match, Wolves hit City on the breaks brilliantly and managed to overturn a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2.

If Wolves can manage the space off the ball against Leicester then they have a great chance of winning.

When teams have all the possession, the best thing the opposition can do is make sure there’s nowhere for the ball to go. If Wolves do this then they win. Nuno’s side won’t be perfect though and Jamie Vardy will find the net for the away team. Diogo Jota will be Wolves’ star man though as the Portuguese forward will bag a double to lead his side to victory.
