1. Bruno Fernandes score to help Manchester United win at Stamford Bridge

This Premier League weekend is closed out on Monday when Manchester United face a difficult trip to Chelsea. United are one of the most unpredictable teams in the league but against the bigger teams they’ve definitely been better.

They’ve managed away wins at Chelsea (League Cup) and Manchester City as well as being the only team to take any points from Liverpool this season. That should give them confidence to take anything from this game despite their poor season so far.

Marcus Rashford was the catalyst for that League Cup victory with a penalty and an unbelievable free-kick back in October. The England forward won’t be available this weekend which means that the onus will fall upon the likes of Anthony Martial, Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes.

The latter of those is most likely to have a real impact against Chelsea on Monday as James and Martial have done little to impress of late. James can be given a pass considering this is his first Premier League season but Martial currently looks horrendous in a United shirt.

The Frenchman showed great promise when he arrived in Manchester but looks incredibly short of confidence and almost like he could do with leaving England to reignite his career. That means that Fernandes will have to be the difference maker for United on Monday.

The Portuguese international looked good against Wolves but he’s now going to need to be the offensive leader for United on the pitch. Fernandes has the attacking ability to unlock most defenses and he’s got good dead ball ability which should make him a big threat in this game.

United’s defensive record this season is poor and it’s difficult to see Chelsea not scoring. Mason Mount will find the net for the Blues but Bruno Fernandes will score one and assist another as Manchester Untied run out 2-1 winners.
