2. Logan Ryan, CB

Defensively, the Eagles were in the middle of the pack. They defended the run well and gave up the 10th-lowest number of total yards (5,307).

Defending the pass was the team’s downfall, though. As alluded to in the Clinton-Dix portion above, the Eagles made due, but dealt with constant flux due to injury and poor play.

Digging deeper, you can see how bad the team’s secondary was. It surrendered 27 passing touchdowns. It also allowed the eighth-most total air yards on completions (2,586).

Logan Ryan could help the cause as a very dynamic corner. In 2019, he had four picks and 4.5 sacks to go with 113 total tackles. He also had eight quarterback hits and 10 total pressures.

From 2013-16, Ryan was a member of the New England Patriots. Since 2017, he has been on the Tennessee Titans. In total, he has played in 15 playoff games in his career.

Ryan profiles better for the team financially. Someone like Byron Jones will garner far too substantial of a price.
