2. Graham Glasgow, Guard, Detroit Lions

The Chicago Bears saw their offensive line take a step back last season. This group dealt with a string of injuries that messed with the continuity. The guard position was one area that saw both Kyle Long and Ted Larsen miss large portions of the season.

Rashaad Coward finished to season as one of the starting guards, but failed to do enough to be seen as a long-term option.

Chicago needs to replenish the talent up front if they hope to get back on track. Last year they not only struggled to protect the quarterback but also had a hard time opening running lanes. The Bears don’t have a ton of cap space so they are unlikely to get into the mix for someone like Joe Thuney.

However, Graham Glasgow would represent a cheaper option. He’s someone who has shown the ability be an effective starter in the NFL. Glasgow is only 27 years old and could represent a long-term building block for the Bears.

He’s a hard-nosed player who does his best work in the running game. Chicago needs to stabilize their ground attack in order to support Mitch Trubisky. They have solid running backs in David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen so the addition of Glasgow could really provide a spark.
