Amari Cooper projects as the best wide receiver in free agency. Where are the best 5 fits for the Pro Bowl wideout?

The Oakland Raiders drafted college phenom Amari Cooper in 2015. Selected fourth overall, the former Alabama receiver posted back-to-back 1,000+ receiving yard seasons in his first two years in the NFL.

During the 2017 season, Cooper never looked the same way he did his first two campaigns. Ultimately, he was dealt to the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. He rediscovered his form in Dallas and now he is primed for a massive contract.

Within that upper echelon of wide receivers, Cooper will essentially get to pick where he wants to go. So, what teams can pacify his $19.7 million per year market value and offer the best fits?

5. Arizona Cardinals

Current cap space: $51,542,629

It was a season of firsts out in Arizona. Kliff Kingsbury was given his first NFL head coaching job, and the team selected rookie quarterback Kyler Murray with the first-overall pick in the draft.

All things considered; Kingsbury didn’t do a terrible job. Finishing 5-10-1 is better than some pundits projected. Murray was great, throwing for almost 4,000 yards and winning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Now it’s time to bring in a big piece for Murray, and Cooper is the guy. No receiver finished with more than Larry Fitzgerald’s 804 receiving yards in 2019 for the Cardinals.

Christian Kirk had a nice season and looks to be a playmaker for the future, but the Cardinals need to find a dominant threat.

Cooper would fit under the team’s current cap situation. While his contract would probably take up a lot of that free money for the upcoming season, he would be money well spent.
