DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:

Best Bets:

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,100): The last time Giannis was under 50 DraftKings points was January 10. He has had two pedestrian games against the Pistons so far this year, so I understand a fade, especially if this game gets out of hand. The Bucks will have to rest Giannis here since he didn’t rest during the All-Star game. He played the entire fourth quarter. Still, I’m not going to be the one to tell you not the play Giannis. He SHOULD destroy Detroit. Should.

Honorable Mention:

Christian Wood ($6,900): I’m not a huge fan of the price against the Bucks, but Wood has carried a load for the Pistons. He’s about 60% of the rebounder that Drummond was, but Wood has been a much more capable scorer. He’s where the Pistons get points up front and he has played at least 35 minutes in all but one game since Drummond was dumped. Wood is a solid play, but the Giannis defense worries me.

Tobias Harris ($6,400): Harris looked good starting at PF instead of SF right before the break. That’s a move that could continue with Korkmaz, Richardson, and Robinson all able to handle SF duties. At any rate, Harris has hit 40 DraftKings points more often than not in February. His ceiling is concrete and the floor is quicksand, but it turns to grass if he starts at the four. Keep an eye on the lineup. I like him more against the Nets at PF than SF.

Jaren Jackson ($6,000): The Kings remain thin up front and they haven’t come close to stopping Jackson yet. He has 73.5 DraftKings points in the two prior games against the Kings this year. Jackson’s production is sporadic at best since he is almost always in foul trouble, but that hasn’t plagued him against Sacramento. This looks to be one of the few times that we can actually trust him.

Dark Horses:

Robert Covington ($5,500): This is a tough matchup on paper, but Covington has averaged 35.4 DraftKings points per game in just 26 minutes in the three prior games against the Warriors. Covington’s production is less stable than that of Harden or Westbrook, but he las looked good for the most part in Houston. There’s enough upside at this price.

Jae Crowder ($5,000): Okay, so it was too much to ask for Crowder to keep going like he did in the first two games with his new team. Maybe it was just the defense of the old team. Utah held Crowder in check, but he terrorized the Blazers and Warriors. The Hawks are much closer to those teams than the former so Crowder could be in for another good night.

Danuel House ($4,600): House is undersized, but so is the rest of the Houston team. They’re out there to run and shoot threes. House is a good shooter and better defender. That gives him a strong floor since he has guaranteed playing time. The only thing that may throw a wrench in this is the return of Gordon, but I’d be willing to bet that it’s not House that loses playing time. Not with what he’s done lately.
