4. Solidify the wide receiver corps

major factor this past year. One-time Eagles’ star DeSean Jackson returned to the City of Brotherly Love, flashed his speed and big-play ability in the Week 1 win over the visiting Washington Redskins and played in only two games the remainder of the season.

The team’s leading wide receiver in terms of grabs was Alshon Jeffery, who hauled in just 43 passes for 490 yards and four scores but only played in 10 contests. He finished the season on injured reserve and was obviously not available for the team’s playoff clash with the Seahawks.

Five-year pro Nelson Agholor (whose contract expires next month) was around for only 11 games and finished with 39 receptions for 363 yards and three TDs. Like Jeffery, the 2015 first-round pick did not play in the wild card loss to Seattle. The team’s starting wide receivers for the clash with Pete Carroll’s team were Greg Ward and Robert Davis.

This past season, the top three pass-catchers for Doug Pederson’s Eagles were tight ends Zach Ertz (88) and Dallas Goedert (58) and running back Miles Sanders (50). Of course, you can’t predict injuries but the team obviously has a decision to make on Agholor and possibly Jackson. The team did use a second-round pick in 2019 on wideout J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, who caught 10 passes during his rookie year. All told, this will be an interesting area to watch this offseason.
