Matchday 27 of the Premier League is almost upon us and there are some great fixtures to look forward to. Here are three bold predictions for all the action.

Another Premier League weekend is here and it won’t be long before the season is over. There are just 12 matchdays remaining but still plenty to play for outside of the title race. The relegation battle is heating up with Norwich looking like the only real certainty to go down whilst there’s six teams that all have a good chance of a top-four finish.

The weekend kicks off when Tottenham make a short trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. Southampton host Aston Villa in a match that has huge relegation implications whilst Leicester host Manchester City in Saturday’s late game — a match that could have a big impact on second place.

Sunday sees Manchester United host Watford, Norwich travel to Wolves and Arsenal at home to Everton. The Premier League weekend is rounded off on Monday when runaway league leaders host West Ham.

Here are three bold predictions for all the action:

3. Lucas Moura scores as Tottenham win at Stamford Bridge

The Premier League weekend will get off to a flyer when Tottenham make the short trip across London to face off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Spurs have had mixed results since Jose Mourinho took over but things have gotten a lot harder for the Portuguese manager with the losses of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min in attack.

Mourinho’s side no longer have a recognized striker available to start and he will probably look to Lucas Moura to play in a more advanced position. Against RB Leipzig in midweek, the London side weren’t good enough going forward and they will need to be better if they wish to claim a top four berth.

Chelsea play in the Champions League next week but were beaten by Manchester United last Monday in a match full of frustration for the Blues. Frank Lampard’s side had two goals ruled correctly out by VAR and were not potent enough going forward against a Manchester United defense that has been very poor all season.

Lampard’s side have a better record on the road than at home and that should give Spurs the confidence to come and win at Stamford Bridge. This will be a tight affair though and it’s difficult to call a winner based on both sides’ recent performances.

Tottenham’s defense looks shaky whilst Chelsea seem to struggle for consistent performances in front of goal. Lampard needs to be starting Olivier Giroud — a striker that has tons of ability and will bring other attacking players into the game.

Giroud will get the start on Saturday and have an impact on the game. However, this won’t be enough for Chelsea to win the game as Lucas Moura and Dele Alli score to give Spurs a 2-1 victory over their London counterparts.
