DraftKings NBA picks February 21: The Joker’s wild

We have a strong nine game DraftKings NBA slate for our Friday night. There’s still a lot of injuries on this one, so let’s start there.

  1. Out: Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist), Damian Lillard (groin), John Wall (Achilles), Kemba Walker (knee), Elfrid Payton (ankle), Mike Conley (rest), Norman Powell (finger), Marc Gasol (hamstring), Justise Winslow (back), Jake Layman (toe), Patrick McCaw (illness), Dewan Hernandez (ankle), Frank Kaminsky (knee), Evan Turner (buyout), Robert Williams (hip), Rodney Hood (Achilles), Jusuf Nurkic (leg), Zach Collins (shoulder), Mario Hezonja (ankle), Darius Miller (Achilles), Alfonzo McKinnie (foot), Dylan Windler (leg), Al-Farouq Aminu (knee), Dwight Powell (Achilles), Andre Roberson (knee), Darius Bazley (knee), Bol Bol (foot), DeMarcus Cousins (knee), Kenrich Williams (back).

Questionable: Deandre Ayton (ankle), T.J. Warren (back), Will Barton (knee), Thomas Bryant (foot), Ian Mahinmi (foot), AnzejsPasecniks (hip).

Ayton is closer to probable, but the team will take it easy with him. If he feels any discomfort at all, they will likely hold him out. A week off wasn’t enough for Conley. He’s resting. Why didn’t the Jazz just rest him tomorrow?

It took over 300 to cash, and it was the usual suspects who racked up big points. Trae had more DraftKings points against Miami than he did in the first two games combined. Morant and Wiggins coming nowhere near value made sure I didn’t cash in the main tournament. J-Rich was leading the way for the under $5,000 prize until Melton at 3.3% won an extra 8.37 for the 150k winner (thechek182). He built with Embiid and Bam like I did, but Melton, Thad, RoCo, and Tobias put him over the top.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
