DraftKings NBA Small Forwards:

Best Bets:

Aaron Gordon ($7,300): Is this the spot that Gordon finally breaks out? We ask that every time he has a few good games in a row and he inevitably crashes back to earth in spectacular fashion. That’s certainly possible here, but this is a very good matchup and the price is right. No, I didn’t forget about LeBron. He just hasn’t been anywhere close to value in either game against Memphis.

Gordon Hayward ($7,000): Having Brown back is the fold it going to take production away from someone, right? Maybe not. The Timberwolves defense is bad, and this is a team that racked up 141 points on the Clippers. I don’t care that it was an overtime game. That’s a lot! Boston has a few elite scorers against a bottom ten defense. What could possibly go wrong?

Honorable Mention:

DeMar DeRozan ($6,800): The back is no longer acting up. Anyone else think DeRozan’s back hurt from carrying this team? He put up 51.25 DraftKings points on Utah the first time around. He probably wont hit that with Aldridge healthy, but Utah is still pretty tough against forwards. They aren’t against wings. DeRozan could be a nice value for this price.

Bojan Bogdanovic ($6,000): I know, all he does is shoot. I don’t care. Bojan is a threat to hit 30 actual points on any given night and he always provides a handful of other stats. This is a good matchup and reasonable price if you want to roll Bojan out there.

Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,900): I find it as strange as you do. THJ is a lot better and a lot more consistent with Luka in the lineup. Hey, it’s a trend. We can plan for it. This could be a really nice spot for THJ since the Magic shut down Luka the first time around.

Dark Horses:

Michael Porter ($4,800): Porter got hurt at the worst possible time. Denver was actually giving him playing time before he went down. It took a long time to get to that point. Will it pick up where it left off? Denver looks like a different team now and Millsap is back. Whatever Porter’s role is, he likely wont be as involved, which is a shame. He was better than everyone but Jokic for about two weeks. Now Malone gets to bury him on the bench again. Still, we saw what the upside was. Porter is worth a dart, but I wouldn’t go so heavy on his as to stake your night on it.

Kevin Porter ($4,700): Porter is picking up more minutes and doing more with them now. The Cavs are going with youth in the backcourt and veterans in the front. I’m a little nervous about this with Beilein out. I tend to think this could help the Cavs long-term, but in the short term it could be a rocky transition. Still, Porter is cheap here. The minutes seem to be there for Porter now.
