DraftKings NBA picks February 24: The need for Embiid

We have a strong eight game Monday for our DraftKings NBA tournaments. Towns  and Kyrie are out, but we still have Harden, Westbrook, Giannis, and Trae. The difference here is that we have enough good value to pack them in together. Let’s see who else is sitting this one out.

Out: Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist), Ben Simmons (back), Kyrie Irving (shoulder), Jimmy Butler (personal), John Wall (Achilles), Clint Capela (heel), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Jaren Jackson (knee), Brook Lopez (back), Jalen Brunson (shoulder), Tyler Herro (foot), Frank Ntilikina (groin),  Grayson Allen (hip), Kyle Korver (back), Kevin Durant (Achilles), Al-Farouq Aminu (knee), Frank Kaminsky (knee), Deandre Bembry (abdomen), Skal Labissiere (knee), Alfonzo McKinnie (knee), Dylan Windler (leg), Meyers Leonard (ankle), Dwight Powell (Achilles), Evan Turner (buyout).

Questionable: Paul George (hamstring), Elfrid Payton (ankle), Patrick Beverley (groin), Justise Winslow (back),  Willie Cauley-Stein (personal), Wayne Ellington (ankle).

Doncic is expected to play after missing Saturday’s game. That just adds another to an already loaded slate. D-Russ is also expected to play after a scheduled night off in the first game of this back to back set. Tobias Harris is ruled IN, but I still like Embiid here.

A horrible game by poster boy LMA ruined all but one of my lineups. Coby and CJ with LaVine were able to save that one. I had 100% exposure to LMA, so I consider myself lucky to just break even.

metacognition took this down with 368.25 DraftKings points. He built with LaVine, Wood, and CJ and got nice value out of Coby, Millsap, Melo, and Satoansky. He even survived Eric Paschall. Everyone in this lineup was on my radar yesterday. His big win was avoiding LMA.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
