DraftKings NBA picks February 24: The need for Embiid
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Small Forwards:
Best Bets:
Kawhi Leonard ($9,700): Kawhi was average against Memphis earlier this year, and honestly, this will likely depend on whether George is active or not. Kawhi has three straight 50+ DraftKings point games, but George as out of two of those. I’ll likely stay off of Leonard if PG plays.
Caris LeVert ($7,300): At this point I trust LeVert more than Dinwiddie. Honestly, I don’t trust either of them much against Orlando. However, the Magic were lit up by Dallas late last week. The Nets seemingly have enough talent to do the same. If they do, I expect LeVert to be at the center of it all.
Honorable Mention:
Juancho Hernangomez ($5,200): Juancho was a total dud back in Denver even though he played 27 minutes. Dallas isn’t really strong enough to take down Juancho. Still, he’s not an overly prolific scorer. He relies on solid rebounding and a decent all-around game. Juancho is a solid play, but I don’t see a ceiling game upcoming.
Jae Crowder ($5,100): Crowder put up 32 DraftKings points against the Cavs on Saturday, so I don’t mind using him here. He had cooled off since hitting the ground running in Miami. I’d still use him here against Cleveland, especially with Butler out again.
Dark Horses:
Cedi Osman ($4,600): The Cavs are being overly cautious with Porter, which means more run for Osman of late. Osman has 75.75 DraftKings points in the two games since the break. The Cavs may start upping Porter’s minutes again, but it likely wont be by enough to move me off of Osman tonight. He looks like a strong value play.
Furkan Korkmaz ($4,000): Korkmaz is capable of big games here and there, but the floor is terrifying. It seems likely that Korkmaz is going to start with both Simmons and Tobias out. Korkmaz is a solid dart throw against the lackluster Hawks defense.
