2020 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders 7-round mock
By Randy Gurzi
On the board at No. 12 overall, the Raiders add a talented wide receiver in Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb, who will give them the No. 1 receiver they lost when they traded away Amari Cooper. Of course, it won’t be their first shot at looking for a top wideout as they did attempt to make a splash in 2019 when they traded for Antonio Brown who was looking to get away from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Brown was acquired for a third and fifth-round selection which had the potential to be a steal considering his talent. The problem is, AB proved to be too much trouble. He had a long-running feud with the league about his helmet, froze his own feet, and then called Mayock some foul names before punting a ball in anger after talking to him. Needless to say, Brown is gone — and probably will never be back in the NFL.
Las Vegas shouldn’t have to worry about their next star receiver going crazy on them anytime soon as Lamb seems much more grounded. He’s also a phenomenal athlete that’s described as a natural receiver. His route-running is precise and he hauls anything near him in as if his hands were actually vacuums.
He’s also incredibly fast, which was evident by his 21.4 yards per catch in 2019. What really makes him attractive to an old-school coach like Gruden though, is that despite all of his skill, he’s also willing to do the dirty work and throw blocks in the run game. Lamb is going to be a star in the NFL and the Raiders would be happy to see him on stage holding up a silver and black jersey in their own back yard during the draft.
