4. Graham Glasgow

With an aging quarterback, the Saints know they have to be smart with their offensive line. That unit has been a strength for the past few years, but a key member of it is set to hit free agency in Andrus Peat.

The left guard has been a stalwart since being drafted in 2016, making the Pro Bowl the past two years. Given the dearth of quality linemen in the NFL, Peat is poised to get a huge contract on the free-agent market.

That could price the Saints out of the bidding, but they could go for a less sexy addition to fortify their front by snagging Graham Glasgow away from the Detroit Lions. Glasgow hasn’t received a ton of hype playing for a poor Lions’ team, but his versatility is a key factor to consider.

The Saints would likely use Glasgow as their replacement for Peat at left guard, but he can also play right guard or center. That ability to play multiple positions is valuable in today’s NFL when injuries can wreak havoc on a team.

Knowing that Glasgow is capable of filling multiple positions on the offensive line would give the Saints options in the event they lose a starter with a significant injury. Glasgow is also only a year older than Peat, so there is still room for him to develop into an elite interior lineman over the next few seasons.
