Supremacy in the XFL will be decided Sunday when the undefeated Houston Roughnecks travel to Dallas to play the 2-1 Renegades.  The game features 3-0 Houston’s league-leading offense against the Renegades well-balanced attack.

Houston quarterback P.J. Walker is the DFS standout and the XFL’s leading fantasy football scorer going into this game with 112.6 points.  Walker has thrown 10 touchdown passes and most of them have been to wide receiver Cam Phillips.  (Phillips has 7 touchdown catches.)

From a fantasy football point-of-view (POV), the Roughnecks have Walker with over 100 total points and five players with double-digit totals in the XFL:

  • P.J. Walker – 112.6 fantasy football  points
  • Cam Phillips – 74.4 points
  • Running back James Butler – 33.2
  • Wide receiver Kahlil Lewis – 21.6
  • Wide receiver Sam Mobley – 19.0
  • Running back Nick Holley – 12.3

Defensively, the Roughnecks have two players in each of three different categories among the league’s elite.  Consider what Dallas quarterback Landry Jones has to face when he lines up against:

  • In tackles – DeMarquis Gates is No. 2 with 18 and Cody Brown is No. with 15
  • In sacks – LaTroy Lewis and and Carl Bradford are tied for the league-lead with 2
  • In interceptions – DeMarquis Gates and Deatrick Nichols share the league-lead with 1

SInce starting in week 2 of the season, Dallas quarterback Landry Jones has led the Renegades to road victories over Los Angeles, 25-18, and Seattle, 24-12.  He has completed an impressive 71.6% of his passes, but he’s also thrown four interceptions.

Thankfully, the Renegades have  the No. 2  running back in the league in Cameron Artis-Payne with 185 yards rushing,.  Artis-Payne averages 6.4 yards-per-carry, has scored two touchdowns and accumulated 38 fantasy football points.  He’s also caught 15 passes for 75 yards.

One of the biggest stars (literally) is Dallas tight end Donald Parnum.  He is 6’8″ tall and has caught  14 passes for 217 yards.  The Seattle Dragons defense found it nearly impossible to cover Parnum in last week’s win, as he caught two of the three touchdown passes thrown by Jones.

Defensively, the Renegades are tied with the New York Guardians in the fewest touchdowns allowed (6).  Dallas also has the XFL’s most productive kicker in Austin MacGinnis, who has kicked 7 field goals in three games.

Here are the DFS recommendations for this game:

  • START Houston quarterback P.J. Walker
  • START Houston wide receiver Cam Phillips
  • START Dallas running back Cameron Artis-Payne
  • SIT Dallas quarterback Landry Jones
  • EXPECT the Houston Roughnecks to win by 4 with the total points not exceeding 48

The game will be played on:

  • Sunday, March 1, 4:00 p.m. EST at Globe Life Park in Arlington, TX
  • TV Channel: FSN1 and Live Stream:  fuboTV
