DraftKings NBA Small Forwards:

Best Bets:

Jayson Tatum ($9,400): Tatum may be the single most dangerous player on this slate tonight. Part of me thinks he eats the undersized Rockets alive and goes for 60. Another part of me thinks Houston runs circles around him and he passes out at midcourt from exhaustion with under 40. That has five straight games of 50 or more DraftKings points. It’s also extremely dangerous to fade that at what could be a discount price.

Andrew Wiggins ($6,800): I will start this by disclosing that I will not be using Wiggins. However, I am here to entertain and inform, so his 52 DraftKings point outburst against Phoenix while a member of the Timberwolves bears mentioning. He has been a dog in the last two games in which he was healthy. Part of me thinks that Wiggins knows this is his last chance to own a game as a Warrior with Curry returning tomorrow. Another part of me thinks he fails in spectacular fashion again. I’m a Timberwolves fan. I’m conditioned to expect it.

Honorable Mention:

Robert Covington ($5,900): You can basically throw out any numbers when trying to evaluate the Rockets. No one has ever seen a team quite like this, so we really can’t tell just how another team will try to match up with them. Boston is better conditioned than most to do it, but Covington also dropped 39.25 DraftKings points on them with Minnesota earlier this year. RoCo remains a strong play again tonight.

Mikal Bridges ($5,200): Bridges is going to see a lot of minutes again with both Oubre and Johnson out. It’s not like he hasn’t earned them though. Bridges has 59.25 DraftKings points in the two games so far with Booker out. He’s more placeholder than offensive focal point, but Bridges is active defensively and an efficient scorer. He has a pretty high floor.

Dark Horses:

De’Andre Hunter ($4,700): This is a good matchup for Hunter, who is coming off his second double-double of the season. He put up a solid 24.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Blazers, but the Hawks are very different now than they were then. This team is exciting and scoring at will. Just as the Nets. I expect a solid game for the price out of Hunter tonight.

Gary Trent ($4,300): Well, if they’re going to run Trent for 41 minutes, we have to take notice. Simons is clearly not the direction the Blazers want to go with Dame out. This team is understandably in a tailspin, but they think Trent has the best chance of helping them out of it. After his performance against the Pacers on Thursday, I’m inclined to agree with them.
