DraftKings NBA picks March 3: Beal is the real deal

We have a nice eight game DraftKings NBA slate on tap for tonight. There are still some major injuries to give us value to pay up for Lakers, Clippers, and Pelicans. The Spurs are also on a back-to-back, so you never know how that will go. This promises to be another interesting day.

Out: Joel Embiid (shoulder), Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist), Kyrie Irving (shoulder), Ben Simmons (back), Steph Curry (hand), LaMarcus Aldridge (shoulder), John Wall (Achilles), Kelly Oubre (knee), Marvin Bagley (foot), Richaun Holmes (shoulder), Devonte Graham (ankle), Malik Monk (drugs, man), Josh Richardson (concussion), Marc Gasol (hamstring), Ky Bowman (ankle), Jakob Poeltl (knee), J.J. Redick (hamstring), Klay Thompson (knee), Kevin Durant (Achilles), Andre Roberson (knee), Darius Bazley (knee), Darius Miller (Achilles), Evan Turner (hates Minnesota), Kenrich Williams (back), Bol Bol (foot), Dewan Hernandez (ankle), Frank Kaminsky (knee).

Questionable: Anthony Davis (knee), Jayson Tatum (illness), Marcus Smart (illness), Fred VanVleet (shoulder), Draymond Green (knee), Serge Ibaka (knee), Garrett Temple (shoulder), Paul Millsap (ankle), Cory Joseph (heel), Alex Caruso (hamstring), Noah Vonleh (ankle), Kevon Looney (hip).

The Celtics say that Kemba will play, but he will be on a minutes limit. That basically means that he wont hit value and neither will Smart or Brown. I may change my tune if Tatum ends up sitting.

I went heavy last night because I liked the slate. It didn’t like me. Three of my eight lineups finished three points or less off the cash line. If I had kept my Cavs stack, I would have finished in the top 1000 again. The moral of the story: rosterbating causes blindness. Or at least the loss of money.

tkay45 took it down with a modest 360.25 DraftKings points. He built with CJ, RoCo, and Mitchell and got huge value out of Kleber, Nance, Sexton, Lyles and Bojan. That’s a big ouch on Bojan.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
