Amari Cooper may get tagged by the Dallas Cowboys while A.J. Green and Emmanuel Sanders are ring chasing, making Robby Anderson the top target for teams chasing receiver help. Anderson is coming off a strong year for the New York Jets, catching 52 passes for 779 yards and five touchdowns.
There is still room for upside with Anderson, and a smart team can potentially score an ascending receiver at a reasonable cost. Let’s take a look at five teams that could benefit from Anderson’s services, beginning with the Minnesota Vikings.
5. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings may seem like an odd fit for Anderson since they have two top receivers, but all isn’t well in Minnesota. Stefon Diggs has an outstanding trade request that may be fulfilled while Adam Thielen battled injuries in 2019.
If Minnesota moves Diggs, Anderson would make sense as a logical replacement. Pairing Anderson’s elite speed with Thielen’s route running could give Kirk Cousins a lethal pair of receivers to work with.
