San Francisco 49ers: 5 offseason needs in 2020
3. Interior Offensive Line
Through the draft, astute trades, low-key signings, and a free-agency splash, the 49ers have constructed a solid offensive line that held up well for a lot of 2019.
However, when it came to the biggest game of the season in Miami, it was the interior of that line that crumbled in the face of a monstrous effort from Chris Jones.
The loss of center Weston Richburg in Week 14 did not help their cause but the area where San Francisco could most use help up front is at guard. Veteran guard Mike Person struggled in the Super Bowl and acquiring an upgrade on him who can better solidify the interior of the line should be high on the Niners’ to-do list.
