DraftKings NBA picks March 5: Return of the Steph
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Point Guards:
Best Bets:
Stephen Curry ($8,000): Seeing all of the other prices today, this isn’t much of a premium. Curry’s injury was with his hand, so he has been able to keep up on his conditioning throughout his absence. There’s a good chance he wont be on a minutes limit. If he’s not, I’ll run him at this price. I expect to see some rust, but even then, Curry is still a threat for 40 and should be comparable to Lowry and Westbrook at a lower price.
De’Aaron Fox ($8,000): Fox’s issue isn’t much of an issue. He has wound up on the injury report in each of the last three games and still put up between 38 and 43 DraftKings points in each of those. I expect similar production tonight against a Philly team that is still without Simmons and Embiid. Fox is probably the cash play you want tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Shake Milton ($6,500): Milton came back to earth a bit against the Lakers, but he was still effective. The price is high enough that Shake isn’t a must-play anymore. This is a solid matchup though and aside from Harris, Milton is the most effective scorer. I still think his floor is high enough here.
Terry Rozier ($6,200): Rozier racked up 35.5 DraftKings points running the offense with Graham out on Tuesday. If Graham is out again, Rozier is a strong play even against Denver. Rozier had a strong game against the Nuggets earlier this year. The floor is higher when he’s running the offense, even though the assist total wasn’t much higher than normal.
Dark Horses:
Reggie Jackson ($4,300): Beverley has been a disaster, especially shooting, since the arrival of Jackson. Reggie is starting to take more of his minutes. That doesn’t mean he’s doing a lot with them. Jackson was better in limited minutes. It could have just been the Thunder guards harassing him all night. He wont have to deal with that against Houston. If the Clipper runs Jackson 25 minutes again here, he should blow away value against the Rockets.
