DraftKings NBA picks March 7: Curry spices uhh…messes up your night
There are six games in the Association today, but only five for the DraftKings NBA main tournament. The Houston-Charlotte tilt starts a couple of hours earlier than everyone else. That takes Harden, RoCo, and Graham off the slate and a lot of value. We still have a few interesting places here with Portland, Philly, the Warriors, Denver, and Hawks on this slate. We still have Cleveland for value if we want to run them against Denver. Let’s dig in. After the injury appetizer, of course.
Out: Joel Embiid (shoulder), Andre Drummond (calf), Steph Curry (illness), Ben Simmons (back), Derrick Rose (ankle), Marvin Bagley (foot), Clint Capela (heel), Jusuf Nurkic (leg), Luke Kennard (knee), Jaren Jackson (knee), Josh Richardson (concussion), Kevin Porter (concussion), Draymond Green (knee), Brandon Clarke (quad), Darius Garland (groin), Justise Winslow (back), Ky Bowman (ankle), Rodney Hood (Achilles), Zach Collins (shoulder), Klay Thompson (knee), Kevon Looney (hip), Dante Exum (ankle), Dylan Windler (leg), Bol Bol (foot), Blake Griffin (knee), Grayson Allen (hip), Skal Labissiere (knee).
Questionable: Richaun Holmes (shoulder), Alfonzo McKinnie (heel), Deandre Bembry (abdomen).
Thompson is in, but Drummond is out. I think I like Nance more than Love, but I almost want to avoid this entire situation. The Kings said Holmes will play this weekend, but they have games both Saturday and Sunday, so we don’t know which day. If I had a guess, I’d say Holmes will only play one of them anyway, so I’m guessing it’s tomorrow. I will write the article from that standpoint as well.
The cash line last night was nuts. Aron Baynes almost hit 70 at minimum price. The cash line was almost as high as the takedown score last night. I put eight of my 20 lineups above last night’s takedown score and still didn’t win all of my money back. My high score of 357.25 would win a lot of slate, but I didn’t even crack the top 2000. That one survived a single digit line from Nunn. Thanks for that.
OSUJailbreak put up 407.75 DraftKings points for the takedown. He was the only one to break 400. he built with Whiteside, Collins, and Butler and got the huge value out of Fultz, Reddish, LeVert, Saric, and Baynes.
Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
