6-foot-3 | G. 5. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. North Carolina. Cole Anthony. 64

It would not be a surprise at all if Anthony ends up as the best player from the 2020 class when it’s all said and done. All four teams that picked so far in this scenario already at least think they have their point guard of the future, with two of them having All-Stars at the point. Anthony had a disappointing season in terms of team success with the Tar Heels but still projects as a high-volume scoring lead guard that can rebound and compete on the defensive end, especially relative to his size.

He is pretty explosive as an athlete, with improvements needing to be made in traffic with his finishing and decision making. Getting him at five would be a steal for a Detroit group that desperately needs someone with Anthony’s skill set in the backcourt.
