DraftKings NBA picks March 10: A textbook Westbrook night

We have a big nine game slate for our DraftKings NBA tournaments tonight. There are stars abound with Dallas, the Lakers, the Rockets, and Clippers in action. Which star should we build around? First let’s take a look at who wont be participating in the festivities.

Out: Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist), Zach LaVine (quad), Jaylen Brown (hamstring), Steph Curry (illness), Malcolm Brogdon (quad), Evan Fournier (elbow), Draymond Green (knee), Kelly Oubre (knee), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Jusuf Nurkic (leg), Seth Curry (ankle), Dejounte Murray (calf), Jaren Jackson (knee), Brandon Clarke (quad), Kevin Porter (concussion), Ish Smith (hamstring), Jeremy Lamb (knee),  John Wall (Achilles), Kris Dunn (knee), Jalen Brunson (shoulder), Tristan Thompson (eye), Garrett Temple (ankle), Justise Winslow (back), Ky Bowman (ankle), Darius Garland (groin), Chandler Hutchison (shoulder), Cam Johnson (illness), Jakob Poeltl (knee), Luke Kornet (ankle), Doug McDermott (toe), Evan Turner (hates cold weather, apparently), Dante Exum (ankle), Kyrie Irving (shoulder), Zach Collins (shoulder), Rodney Hood (Achilles), Frank Kaminsky (knee), Klay Thompson (knee), Kevon Looney (hip), Dylan Windler (leg), Dwight Powell (Achilles), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (illness), Willie Cauley-Stein (illness), Al-Farouq Aminu (knee), Kevin Durant (Achilles), Grayson Allen (hip).

Questionable: Luka Doncic (wrist), Deandre Ayton (ankle), Ben McLemore (illness), Dorian Finney-Smith (hip),  Joakim Noah (just signed), Ryan Arcidiacono (Achilles).

Curry is out, but I would guess that Luka will play. After last night I don’t really trust anything though.

Last night was an epic disaster of the magnitude that I have never seen in all my years of DFS. It started off innocently enough with Bledsoe and Giannis down. DraftKings has late swap, so no biggie. PJ Washington collects fouls like I collected baseball cards as a kid and came up with a whopping 6 DraftKings points…..in a double overtime game. Yeah, it gets worse.

The Bucks then ran out their second and third string. I left DiVincenzo a couple of times because I thought they would play him anyway. Nope. That’s one zero. Norman Powell goes down within the first two minutes with no stats. Bam! Another zero. And I still cashed in six of eight lineups. Not just cashed, but cracked the top 1000….with a freaking zero in my lineup. With the Middleton news, I moved all shares of him, which was 100%, to Powell. I got the same score from both. It was a DFS miracle!

dsteppbwa showed all of us what dodging all of the mines looked like last night. He racked up 364.25 DraftKings points building with Trae and Devonte. He ran Rozier, Millsap, Royce, Ibaka, Collins and Wes Matthews for the takedown.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
