NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds for March 11
Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on March 11 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.
Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:
7 p.m. ET: Detroit at Philadelphia
7:30 p.m. ET: New York at Atlanta, Charlotte at Miami
8 p.m. ET: Denver at Dallas, Utah at Oklahoma City
10:30 p.m. ET: New Orleans at Sacramento
How this works:
Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.
Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.
Studs
Trae Young (vs NY – $10,400 on DK; $ on FD): Trae looked more like himself in the last game and now he has a great matchup against the Knicks. The Knicks are good against the position but they haven’t been able to stop Trae all season and I wouldn’t imagine they will be able to start now. If the injuries hold, there will be continued opportunities for him.
Bam Adebayo (vs CHA – $9,000 on DK; $ on FD): If Butler doesn’t play then Adebayo will be the top option once again. He can do a big of everything and is great value given the price and circumstances. The Hornets are mediocre against the position but they won’t have an answer for Adebayo.
Christian Wood (at PHI – $8,100 on DK; $ on FD): If Embiid doesn’t play then Wood will have better circumstances. Either way, the circumstances are very good considering the production he’s had since the Drummond trade. He’s not going to hurt you at this price and the ceiling is high given the matchup and potential circumstances with Embiid’s injury.
Chris Paul (vs UTA – $7,600 on DK; $ on FD): Paul is typically consistent and if SGA doesn’t play once again, then he’ll be tasked with doing more. And if SGA does play, he’ll take some pressure off of Paul, which certainly helps. I love him in this matchup because he thrives against defenses that take a second to figure out as no one is able to figure out defenses like Paul.
Elfrid Payton (at ATL – $6,500 on DK; $ on FD): The Hawks are good against the position but overall this is a matchup that should feature plenty of offense. Payton is at a good price given what he’s able to do as he is a triple double threat. He’ll have his hand in plenty of points and assists in this game.
