Aaron Rodgers only has so much time left to be a great quarterback, so he should beg the Green Bay Packers to get him some wide receivers this offseason.

Aaron Rodgers needs some help to win another Super Bowl.

The Green Bay Packers had a strong 2019 season, as they won the NFC North and played in the NFC Championship Game. However, they were one of the softest 13-3 teams you’ll ever see and they got the tar beat out of them by the San Francisco 49ers in the conference title bout.

Green Bay may be the favorite to repeat in the division, but Rodgers needs some wide receivers.

This offseason, the Packers have several players hitting free agency, including Geronimo Allison and Jake Kumerow at wide receiver. Tight end Marcedes Lewis will be a free agent and veteran tight end Jimmy Graham isn’t expected back. Green Bay can look for a wide receiver in free agency, but the Packers aren’t swimming in cap space. They only have $18.5 million to work with.

While Green Bay has the final resources to get a No. 3 wide receiver in free agency, the Packers’ best course of action to get Rodgers some help at the position is to address it in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft, probably twice over.

Green Bay has eight picks in the draft, including No. 30 overall and three in the top 100. This is supposed to be the deepest wide receiver draft in league history. This is where the Packers can get both production and tremendous value. They need to win in the draft.

At No. 30, they’d be looking at a guy like Laviska Shenault Jr. out of Colorado, Brandon Aiyuk out of Arizona State or Jalen Reagor out of TCU. Denzel Mims of Baylor is another intriguing fit. Since the Packers already have a No. 1 receiver in Davante Adams, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst should look for a complementary possession receiver to occupy that No. 2 spot in the Green Bay wide receiving corps.

We have to remember the Packers finally have a running back who can play in Aaron Jones. Being able to run the ball and play great defense will be key in if the Packers ever get back to the Super Bowl with Rodgers as their quarterback.

For now, they need to get the guy some help in the wide receiver corps yesterday.
