Injuries plagued the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019 but with ten picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, could they be poised for a Super Bowl run in 2020?

No team in the NFL suffered through more adversity than the Philadelphia Eagles did in 2019. Faced with an astronomical number of injuries, Doug Pederson still somehow managed to cobble together a 9-7 season and NFC East championship. Not bad for a team who had to rely on a former college quarterback as its go-to wide receiver in the playoffs.

With ten selections in the 2020 NFL Draft following the announcement of compensatory picks, the Eagles are primed to have all the draft capital necessary for GM Howie Roseman to move around the board as he sees fit. Wide receiver is obviously a critical need (as is cornerback), but how early will the team address it come April? Let’s find out in this seven-round mock.

Oh, and don’t forget…wash your damn hands.

I can already hear the SpongeBob memes being created over me nOt GiViNg ThE eAgLeS a ReCeIvEr in the first round. But, keep in mind, this wide receivers class is historically deep.

Sure, Roseman could certainly target a player like Alabama’s Henry Ruggs with a trade up or stay at this spot for LSU’s Justin Jefferson, but TCU’s Jeff Gladney addresses another crucial need in a position group that is far less deep.

Gladney doesn’t have the size or length of Ohio State’s Jeffrey Okudah or Florida’s CJ Henderson, but he is an excellent athlete who excels in man coverage. He’s extremely physical and competitive at the line of scrimmage and displays excellent tackling technique.

Rumors persist that Philadelphia will be major players for free agent cornerback Byron Jones, and pairing him with Gladney would immediately make them one of the more dangerous defensive back tandems in the NFL.
