72. player. 873. . DT. Aggies . Justin Madubuike

Madubuike is one of my favorite players to watch on tape in this class and offers a ton of upside at this spot in the third round.

The former Texas A&M standout wowed at the Combine with a 40-yard dash time of 4.83 seconds at 293 pounds. He topped that off with 33 reps on the bench press, and as a result, you have the recipe for a draft riser who could be selected much earlier than the third round.

Madubuike’s quickness is readily apparent on tape with his motor consistently running hot. He doesn’t have as much explosiveness as some of the other interior defenders in the class but is constantly finding himself around the ball to make plays. He does an excellent job of maintaining consistent leverage and good pad level which helps to offset some of those concerns.

The former Aggie should immediately excel as a rotational pass rusher for Vance Joseph’s defense, something that is sorely needed moving forward. For a more in-depth scouting profile of Madubuike, you can take a gander at my pre-Combine writeup of him here.
