Round 4

Scouting Report. OT. Logan Stenberg. 125. Pick Analysis. Kentucky. player. 833

The Patriot’s decision and ability to bring back starting left tackle Joe Thuney is a big move for the offensive line that gives them more flexibility at the position heading into the draft. Expect Belicheck and McDaniels to choose to take a gamble on a prospect with a huge upside as a result.

Logan Stenberg is a huge tackle prospect standing 6-foot-6 and weighing in at 317 pounds. That size makes him a prospect worth taking a gamble on as a swing tackle, role player for the Patriot offensive line.

Stenberg’s best quality as a blocker right now is his overall awareness and football smarts that allow him to beat rushers to the point of attack more times than not. He’s not as strong at finishing blocks as some of the other tackles in this draft, but NFL coaches will believe that that is about coaching and take a flyer on his size and upside.

Stepping into New England, Stenberg will receive excellent coaching but also be unlikely to be asked to start anytime soon, with Thuney returning. That is an ideal position for the second-team All-SEC selection – this is a good combination of talent and coaching.
