2. Mekhi Becton, Louisville left tackle

The Browns have a lot of talented pass catchers but don’t forget that their offense is still predicated on running the ball effectively. That makes drafting a road graded like Becton a very attractive proposition.

Admittedly, Becton isn’t the most polished tackle in this class. He’s a massive human being with incredible athleticism, but his technique still needs work. Expecting him to come right in and dominate at the left tackle position is a recipe for disaster.

If, however, the Browns are willing to select him and give him a few games to adjust to life in the NFL, they could end up with a quality starter at the offensive line’s most important position. That would represent excellent value at No. 10.

If Becton is the player the Browns really covet, they’ll really have to sweat out his availability if they stay put with the current selection. He’ll likely go off the board just ahead of their current spot. Becton isn’t their best case scenario at 10, but he’s very close to it.
