I have the perfect solution to fixing the economy. It’s time for EA Sports to bring back NCAA Football.
It’s long overdue. It’s time EA Sports brings back the greatest video game ever made. We need NCAA Football and we need it now.
Sports fans are living through unprecedented times. There aren’t sports on TV and we don’t know when the NBA, NHL, MLB will resume and if the NFL and college football season will be postponed or canceled. We’re all just taking it one day at a time.
But what will help us take it one day at a time is devoting our life to playing NCAA Football 2020.
It’s been six years since a new game has been released and the promise of its return has been teased with the eventuality of all players being compensated for their name and likeness.
I hear politicians talk about cutting the red tape to get things done all the time.
Forget about all the fine print and what legalities need to be accomplished for a second. And let’s think about how big of a boost for morale it will be to start a new dynasty and play this game for countless hours.
This can be our new normal while many are working remotely and taking classes online. If we’re going to be cooped up inside all day, we may as well be recruiting our create-a-player that will win the Heisman Trophy three times and go undefeated during his career.
Think of all the content it will produce for people like me who are sports editors without sports.
We can start doing our simulations and rankings for the 2020 season (Hopefully we have one) and see which players are going to be studs, which players come out of nowhere to break out and which teams live up to and fall short of expectations.
This isn’t some revolutionary idea I just had, although I am willing to take 100 percent of the credit if and when NCAA Football returns. But there are countless fans on Twitter who have made it known they’d be willing to pay whatever it takes to get this game.
I haven’t played video games since NCAA 14 but I would buy a PlayStation 4 and NCAA 2020 immediately if the game was released. I’ll consider it a business expense anyway.
But look at a collection of some tweets from fans who want, I mean, need this game to come back and the engagement numbers. EA Sports could sell NCAA 2020 for $300 and people would be lining up around the block at GameStop to get what would instantly be the best-selling game of all time.
Fans want the return of NCAA Football
What if the NCAA and EA Sports dropped NCAA Football ‘21 right now with all these folks at home...

If @PlayStation was truly for the people during this unprecedented time, they’d put NCAA Football and NCAA March Madness on the PlayStation Store for download. Name the price, we’ll purchase it.

Just ran the numbers and it appears NCAA Football 20 sales could in fact save the entire economy

If @EASPORTS dropped NCAA Football 2020 right now for $300 I would buy it

An NCAA Football 21 video games sales would be through the roof right now.

Hey EA Sports and NCAA,

This would be a great time to bring back NCAA Football and Basketball. I feel like we're going to have some time on our hands without sports, and I'd still like my college fix.
Sincerely,
Sports fans
Seeing NCAA FOOTBALL trend and not seeing one bit of news about a new game. It's been almost 7 damn years! pic.twitter.com/vgxSq22b6i

Let’s do this America. We the people demand the return of NCAA Football and we want it now.
And we all know former LSU Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow would be on the cover.
