The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the hottest team in the league coming off signing Tom Brady in free agency. They can solidify their contender status with a huge get in Round 1 of the NFL Draft.

Everything changed when Tom Brady announced that he was leaving the New England Patriots. This was something we didn’t think was even possible. He was the New England Patriots. It’s hard to remember now, but that team was one of the most tortured in the league before he was drafted 199th overall out Michigan. Now, he’s taking his 43-year-old talents to Tampa Bay.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now the team to watch in the NFC. Signing Brady to a team that has an offense led by Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and even Ronald Jones is must-watch television. The Bucs weren’t done with just Brady, also re-signing Jason Pierre-Paul, linebacker Kevin Minter, defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches and safety Andrew Adams. They are also expected to re-sign defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who last year waited until May to pick his team.

The Bucs have an intriguing team. They have one of the best coordinator duos in Byron Leftwich (offense) and Todd Bowles (defense). That really gives them an advantage when discussing something like the NFL Draft, because head coach Bruce Arians knows whoever he brings in, he has the right coaches to make a rookie better.

The Bucs don’t have a ton of needs anymore. The needs they do have are intriguing because, at their current position of 14th overall, those positions aren’t being mocked there. That could lead to some intriguing opportunities when it comes to draft-day trades. For now, here’s who we think the Bucs are going to target in day one of the NFL Draft.
