Cincinnati Bengals full 2020 NFL mock draft
By Conor Dorney
The signing of Trae Waynes doesn’t mean that the Bengals are set in the secondary. In fact, far from it.
The former UCF standout offers similar size and length to Waynes, despite not having nearly the same long speed. Still, Clarke possesses outstanding awareness and ball skills in coverage that should allow him to have some production at the NFL level in the right scheme.
Cincinnati had the third-worst turnover differential in the league last season (-14) and getting takeaways will be a huge key to the success of their defense moving forward. Adding Reader was a big step towards helping the run defense, so giving more help to Waynes in the back end with the addition of Clarke could help flip the turnover script in 2020.
