This is probably a dream scenario for the Detroit Pistons. They need another dynamic scoring weapon and desperately need anything that resembles a star in the backcourt.

Edwards is raw, but the skill-set is undeniable. At 6-foot-4, he profiles as a shooter in the long-term and is a freakish athlete. Defensively, he might not be a stopper but should be competitive — again, in the long-term — due to his physical ability. He just needs to bring consistent intensity.

He will probably not contribute right away in a positive way, but wings that are this level of athlete, with shooting potential, are rare. In what many are projecting as a weak class, the University of Georgia product has one if not the highest ceilings. Detroit should nab Edwards and plug him right into the lineup in this scenario.
