It would not be a surprise at all if Cole Anthony ends up as the best player from the 2020 NBA Draft class when it’s all said and done. All four teams that will have picked so far in this scenario already at least think they have their point guard of the future, with two of them having All-Stars at the point. Anthony had a disappointing season in terms of team success with the Tar Heels but still projects as a high-volume scoring lead guard who can rebound and compete on the defensive end, especially relative to his size.

He is pretty explosive as an athlete, with improvements needing to be made in traffic with his finishing and decision-making. Getting him at No. 5 would be a steal for a Charlotte group that desperately needs to find its next franchise player.
