7. player. 87. . Linebacker/Safety. Carolina Panthers. Isaiah Simmons

The Carolina Panthers are going to look a lot different next season, as they will see two of their biggest leaders gone from the year before. Both linebacker Luke Kuechly and quarterback Cam Newton will not be donning the Panthers uniform next season, and while one has already been replaced, the other has not.

Teddy Bridgewater is being brought in as the new starter in Carolina, and the team has given him a contract that shows they are done with Newton. Kuechly decided to retire this offseason, and that leaves a gaping hole on their defense, as he is likely head to Canton as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Replacing Kuechly is not going to be an easy task, but at No. 7 overall, they are in position to add arguably the best overall linebacker in this draft class. Isaiah Simmons is an absolute freak, and can play linebacker or safety at the next level, and he would instantly come in and be a leader on a revamped Panthers defense.

Defensive Tackle. Arizona Cardinals. Derrick Brown. 8. player. 32.

The Arizona Cardinals have been busy this offseason building around their most precious asset, as they are giving their former No. 1 overall pick the weapons he needs to take a big step forward in 2020. Kyler Murray showed during his rookie season that he has the talent to win at the NFL level, and now he has arguably the best wideout in football.

Early in the new league year, the Cardinals traded with the Houston Texans for DeAndre Hopkins, who is as explosive as they come at the position group. Teaming him with Larry Fitzgerald will make this wide receiver group downright scary, and the team also brought back D.J. Humphries to protect Murray up front.

Up front along the defensive line, the Cardinals need some help, and they add Derrick Brown to the inside to team with Chandler Jones on the outside. Arizona could end up being one of the more improved teams in the NFC next season, and are just another solid team in what should be a very deep NFC West.
