If you had to be in sheltered in place with a handful of college football coaches, who would you pick? Who would you definitely not want in your quarantine?

When you’re stuck at home in quarantine, sheltering in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, things can get awfully dull around the house after the first few days of binge-watching, eating and watching replays of seasons and college football games long passed.

When you run out of memories to relive, and when your Netflix watch list has suddenly run dry, and when you’ve put on 10 pounds and can’t bear to eat another frozen pizza, you really just need a change.

No—rather, you need contact with another human. Someone with a personality to entertain you, and the knowledge to teach you during this state of quarantine. The world of college football is filled with personalities.

As such, it only makes sense to wonder what coaches wouldn’t just be good friends to you in a time when most of the world’s normal functions are shut down, but which ones would make for good quarantine partners when you’re stuck at your home.

Flexibility is a key attribute to have when you are stuck at home for an undetermined amount of time, and no one is more flexible than the guys that call the shots in a college football matchup. Dealing with the unexpected is what they excel at, and nothing is more unexpected than a shut-down of the world’s normal processes for an unknown amount of time.

From Ed Orgeron cooking you all you can eat gumbo, jambalaya and other delicacies to Les Miles sneaking you out of quarantine and into the nearest stadium for a two-man game of catch, your quarantine experience largely depends on what coach you choose as your partner through the COVID-19 shutdown.

Let’s take a look at what coaches best fit the ball for the best quarantine company and the one coach that would be a total buzzkill.
