DOB: Apr. 8, 2002 (age 17)
Position: D
Shoots: R
Team: Erie Otters — OHL

At 17, Jamie Drysdale of the OHL’s Erie Otters is the finest defensive prospect set to enter into the ranks of the professional game at this year’s entry draft. Add the fact that he is a right-shot blue liner — a position at which there is a pressing need in the NHL — and you can see where this may very well be going.

Drysdale is more than capable of dictating his team’s performance in the offensive zone. His ability to effectively quarterback a power play is among the best available in the 2020 class — a skill that all but ensures that the defender will be picked near the outset of the selection process.

Drysdale offers NHL organizations speed, top on-ice intelligence and fantastic skating — all of the hallmarks of two-way excellence in the modern game.
