2020 NFL mock draft: Justin Herbert lands with the Chargers
By Brad Weiss
The Tennessee Titans have been all over the news during the 2020 offseason, as they appeared to be in the mix for quarterback Tom Brady before giving Ryan Tannehill a lucrative long-term deal. In addition, they placed the franchise tag on running back Derrick Henry, bringing back two of their biggest stars from an offense that helped the team to an AFC title game.
Staying on that side of the ball, the Titans should look to add an offensive tackle in the 2020 NFL Draft’s first round, and Ezra Cleveland from Boise State is a good one. He is one of the more NFL-ready tackles in this draft class, and based on what we have seen from him on tape, and during the combine, he could stay on the left side at the next level.
The Titans have to do something to replace Jack Conklin, and Cleveland put on quite the show during the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine. He is being mocked in the first round a lot now, and with the Titans, he could come in and fill one of the bigger voids they have right now on their roster.
The Green Bay Packers made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game last season, eventually falling to the San Francisco 49ers. It was a successful first season for new head coach Matt LaFleur, but entering Year No. 2, the expectations are going to be even higher for the Packers.
Aaron Rodgers is still one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, but the team needs to do something this offseason to give him more weapons in the passing game. Rodgers has a star in Davante Adams, but he cannot do it all on his own, and the team could end up getting an elite talent even this late in round one.
Denzel Mims is a guy who is going to continue to ramp up the first round boards, as he is an incredible athlete, a solid-route runner, and can make plays deep, or over the middle. He would be a perfect compliment to Adams in the passing game as they look to get Rodgers ring No. 2.
