5 bold predictions for Buffalo Bills in 2020
The Bills are suddenly the popular choice to win the AFC East. Can Josh Allen really lead the team that’s going to knock off the Patriots?
Tom Brady’s departure from the Patriots leaves the door open for the Bills to take control of the AFC East. The question remains whether or not Josh Allen can do enough at the quarterback position to make Buffalo a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
The bones of the roster are certainly good. Sean McDermott guided his team to a healthy 10-6 record last season and he’ll coach a more talented squad in 2020. His challenge will be melding all of the new pieces together into one, cohesive unit.
The Bills still need some old faces to take significant steps forward if they’re going to maximize their potential. Read on to discover five bold predictions for Buffalo in 2020.
5. Dawson Knox will go to the Pro Bowl
Knox enjoyed a relatively productive rookie campaign last season. He was actually the team’s third leading receiver in terms of yards. However, no one is going to get overly excited about a tight end that only manages to catch 28 passes for 388 yards.
The addition of Diggs to the team’s receiving corps is going to leave Knox with a ton of opportunities to exploit single coverage. He’s plenty athletic enough to burn safeties and linebackers that try to cover him one-on-one.
The result is going to be a breakout campaign for Knox. Look for him to boost his receiving totals all across the board. More importantly, he’ll start to work as Allen’s safety blanket in 2020. That’s going to earn the second year tight end a ticket to the Pro Bowl.
