NBA 2K20 Player Tournament live stream: How to watch online

ESPN will begin airing a 16-seed NBA 2K20 Player Tournament on Friday, April 3. Here’s everything you need to know to watch online.

The novel coronavirus pandemic has shut down live sports across the world but this is digital sports’ time to shine. The 2019-20 NBA season was interrupted by NBA players are coming together on Apr. 3 for the NBA 2K20 Player Tournament, a joint initiative between the league and the NBA Player’s Association, which will be aired on ESPN and ESPN2.

It was a fun thought exercise arguing about how should be included, but the field was quickly set. Representatives for 16 teams were chosen, seeded by their NBA2K20 player ratings and they’ll be competing in a 1-on-1 format. Kevin Durant is the No.1 seed and the field also includes Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell, Zach LaVine and Devin Booker.

The winner of the tournament will receive $100,000 to donate to a charity of their choice for coronavirus relief efforts. Gameplay begins Friday night and continues Sunday afternoon. The quarterfinals will be played on Tuesday, Apr. 7 and the tournament will conclude with the semifinals and finals played on Saturday, Apr. 11. The entire thing will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks as well as their streaming platforms.

ESPN has also announced that all games will be available on demand after the fact through ESPN3. Remember that after the first hour of tournament play on Friday night, the broadcast will switch from ESPN to ESPN2.
